Qualifications

• Graduate of a State approved school of nursing, Associate's/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New York State required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in Long Term Care.
• Administrative ability to manage nursing functions effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with staff at all levels.
• Knowledge of Infection Control Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Foster a resident-centered care environment with a collaborative team approach.
• Conduct timely investigations of unit incidents, ensuring proper documentation and communication with administration.
• Manage and complete work schedules for team members within budget guidelines.
• Supervise accurate documentation on unit processes such as intake/output and ambulation logs.
• Monitor the unit actively, enforcing accident/incident prevention and safety protocols.
