Job DutiesKSA's required to successfully perform the work:
• Knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric and physical condition, psycho-social needs of patients
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of psychiatric nursing
• Ability to think critically in situations that require managing multiple priorities
• Ability to supervise performance of and make judgements about performance and provide action able positive and corrective feedback to others
• Ability to delegate effectively and in accordance with regulations
• Ability to contribute to cohesiveness of teamwork including accepting feedback from others
• Ability to collaborate, problem solve, and negotiate with colleagues of the interdisciplinary Treatment Team and all departments and disciplines
• Ability to utilize effective oral and written communication skills
Minimum Qualifications• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by Virginia State Board of Nursing in the State of Virginia.
• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing
• Experience in supervisory role in a hospital or nursing home setting
Additional Considerations• Experience in the field of behavioral health/psychiatric nursing is preferred.
