Job Summary and QualificationsOversees daily operation of the Employee Health and Worker's Comp Department, insuring professionalism and confidentiality.
Assesses, treats, and provides appropriate follow-up to employees experiencing injuries, illnesses, and / or exposures in the workplace.
Oversees pre-employment health assessment process.
Plans, coordinates and conducts vaccination clinics.
Ensures Respirator Fit Testing for all affected employees.
Ensures compliance with Substance Use in the Workplace policy.
Ensures that employee health files are accurate and maintained in manner that supports survey and inspection readiness at all times.
Accurately enters, maintains and retrieves electronic data.
Develops, revises and maintains employee health policies.
Interprets and applies Virginia Workers' Compensation Law, CDC and OSHA guidelines, facility policy and regulations pertaining to Employee Health.
Serves as primary Employee Injury Coordinator contact and ensures compliance with all worker's compensation policies and laws.
This role will require to assist LewisGale Montgomery and Pulaski facilities as-needed.
What qualifications you will need:At least 2 years prior experience as an employee or occupational health nurse required
Prior employee health leadership experience (supervisor or above) in healthcare setting strongly preferred
Knowledge of HCA systems and processes, Virginia Workers' Compensation Law, CDC and OSHA guidelines preferred
Graduate of an accredited program in Registered Nursing and Virginia Registered Nurse Licensure (or compact license) required
BSN required, MSN/MBA or similar degree preferred
