RN/LPN Unit Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by: monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care
- Conduct nursing rounds on all each unit multiple times throughout the shift
- Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members
- Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
- Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery process for residents
- Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator
RN/LPN Unit Manager Requirements:
- Unencumbered active New Jersey RN or LPN license
- 2+ years of experience in long term care
- Proficient in PCC
- Experience as a Unit Manager in LTC
- Prior experience in managing staff preferred
