Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery.
Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patients and identifies nursing diagnoses based on health responses.
The RN develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care and modifies them to meet clinical outcomes.
Promoting safe passage for patients, the RN uses knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment.
This role involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team to assist patients throughout the healthcare encounter without complications or delays.
The RN delegates tasks to healthcare personnel based on the relevant regulations and each patient's condition.
This position applies to RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments that require 24X7 staffing.
Examples include procedural areas such as GI Lab, Pain Management, Dialysis, Infusion Centers, and IV Services.
The RN will conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards.
Prioritizing patient and family needs, the RN will create a compassionate, supportive, and safe environment.
The RN recognizes and incorporates a patient's unique differences into an individualized plan of care.
This role involves advocating for and preserving the confidentiality and rights of patients and families.
