RN Internal Traveler - NICU
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

Full-Time Nights, 36 Hours per week

Pay range is between $85-$95/hr. Rates are market dependent and will be determined at the time of written offer.

BCH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Special Care Nursery (SCN) team within the Family Birth Center. In this role, you will provide specialized, family-centered care to newborns requiring additional monitoring, treatment, and support following delivery. Working closely with neonatologists, pediatric providers, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary care teams, you will care for neonates with a variety of medical needs while supporting parents and families through their newborn's hospitalization.

Responsibilities include neonatal assessment, stabilization and transition of newborns, monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition, administering treatments and medications, supporting feeding and developmental care, coordinating discharge planning, and providing education to families. The Special Care Nursery RN plays a key role in ensuring safe, evidence-based care while promoting positive outcomes for infants and their families.

• Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric providers, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and other care team members to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff and ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, unit-based problem solving, and ongoing professional development.
• Support care across the Family Birth Center as needed, including newborn transition and maternal-child health services.
