RN Internal Traveler - Endoscopy

Full-time - 12 - Days - Monday-Friday
The pay range is between $70 - $120/hr. Rates are market dependent and will be determined at the time of written offer.
+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.
• Contracts are 13 weeks.

Boulder Community Health is seeking an Internal Traveler Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy Department who coordinates total nursing care for the peri-operative procedure patient. Provides intensive observation and care for the pre- and post-operative procedure patient for which an anesthetic agent or moderate sedation was used.

Qualifications
• Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required through the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required through the American Heart Association
• Seeking candidates who have a strong history of Endoscopy specific experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
• Provides safe, competent, effective nursing care in accordance with hospital, OCC/PACUs standards of care, policies and procedures. When applicable, employees must be able to adjust the essential functions they perform appropriately to the age of their patient/customer.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of care of the peri-operative/procedure patient.
• Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition. Reports pertinent observations or changes to appropriate physicians and/or clinical lead and implements emergency procedures as necessary.
• Demonstrates knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and treatment modalities.
• Administers medications and performs treatments as ordered.
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation.
• Ability to assess, treat and/or care for patients with regard to age. PACU treats infant to geriatric.
• Actively seeks the participation of members of the health care team and patient's family to ensure continuity of care.
• Prepares specimens and lab forms for laboratory analysis.
