RN Intake Coordinator, Full-Time

Clinical Access Center

7:00pm-7:00am

Summary:
Provides timely and efficient patient placement based on current bed availability, operative room availability, procedure room and medical staff availability. Provides optimal efficiencies for patients entering Summa Health System. Works under the direction of the Regional Call Center Manager, the Medical Director of the Regional Call Center and the Medical Staff Medical Director, Chairman of Medical Staff Departments.

Minimum Education:
a. Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required, BSN preferred
b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio

Minimum Work Experience:
- Current license to practice Nursing in the State of Ohio
- Three (3) years of recent experience in the role of a nurse in an Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Medical Surgical setting.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to communicate effectively with physician, and other health care professionals as well as patients and families.
- Demonstrates the knowledge to triage patients to the appropriate level of care when planning bed placement or facilitating care at time of admission.
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

$42.65/hr - $51.19/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
