RN - Hospice Nurse Manager
Salary: $96,700 -$120,078 annually based on years of experience

As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for daily operations of the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided to hospice patients and their families. As a member of Samaritan's hospice management team and report to the Director of Senior Living. The Nurse Manager will demonstrate the Samaritan Difference in all interactions guides staff in providing care consistent with the commitments of the Samaritan Difference.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for the provision of quality patient care by Samaritan's hospice nurses in adherence with nursing practice standards
Facilitates interdisciplinary team meetings and fosters interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration
Supervises assigned hospice nursing staff and is responsible for hiring, training, coaching and evaluation
Other responsibilities as assigned
Ensures that care is provided in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
Reviews patient documentation regularly to ensure quality, timeliness and compliance with all requirements
Shares on call responsibilities with other nurse managers, on a rotating basis, to ensure 24-hour oversight of hospice care
Actively participates in performance improvement activities in collaboration with other managers and clinical educators - identifies operational/clinical issues, designs strategies for resolution, directs the implementation plan and evaluates the results
Ensures that patient care is delivered within cost-effective parameters, allocating resources appropriately and managing staff resources in relation to census trends
Assists in development education plan for nurses
Assists in development of policies and procedures
Effectively communicates with staff, colleagues and external customers
Participates in agency projects and committees

BSN required; MSN or MS preferred
Long Term Care experience a plus.
