Job DescriptionHiring Bonus: $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible rehires and external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.Shift Details: Full-time, Day shift, 40 hours a weekThe Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a registered nurse with specialized education. The development of specific technical skills enables the RNFA to assist the surgeon with specific intraoperative procedures that are beyond the scope of practice for registered nurses without RNFA education and training. This RNFA role is responsible for first assisting on surgical procedures and coordinating all aspects of such. This includes coordinating scheduling, education of clinical staff, ensuring availability and care of instruments and equipment, and participating in research efforts. The RNFA is directly supervised by the surgeon and performs functions specifically identified and consistent with training received. The RNFA functions interdependently, and collaboratively, with the surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient.
Required Qualifications: - Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Coursework/Training: Graduation from a recognized RNFA program is required within 1 year of starting in position. Must be enrolled in an eligible program upon hire into role
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)
- 3 years experience and expertise in perioperative nursing including scrubbing and circulating.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- RNFA experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
