RN - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (Mid-Shift)You are comfortable functioning as both a triage and primary care RN. Patients can include everyone from neo-nates to geriatrics. The right candidate is excited to perform a broad range of general nursing duties, has excellent critical thinking skills, and is comfortable working with a high level of autonomy. This is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position.Anticipated Schedule: Rotating 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. mid-shift (6-7 twelve-hour shifts per bi-weekly pay period). Schedule may also include day and night shifts based on department staffing needs.
Pay range: $32.92-$46.88/hour DOE
A $10,000 signing bonus is available for full-time, permanent hire, with a 2-year service requirement.Minimum requirements:- Current, unencumbered Utah RN license (or compact state) and graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Two or more years of nursing experience in a med/surg and/or emergency department setting.
- Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications or ability to obtain and use appropriately.
- Willing and able to start EKGs, IVs, draw patient labs, provide comfort measures, and mix and determine proper administration rates for patient medications.
- Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing events.
- Self-motivated and able to work successfully both independently and as part of a small team.
- Great customer service and communication skills, including oral, written, and listening skills.
- Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally; emotionally mature.
- Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 50 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work in a confidential manner.
- Reliable and timely with work schedule.
- Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned.
