Compensation: $51.20 - $65.00 / hour

About the Role
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is a highly skilled clinician who delivers rapid assessment, critical thinking, and compassionate care to patients presenting with life-threatening, emergent, and urgent medical conditions. Working in a fast-paced environment, the ED RN provides expert nursing care utilizing advanced monitoring, diagnostic, and therapeutic equipment to support patients with acute, complex, and critical healthcare needs.

The ED RN collaborates closely with physicians, interdisciplinary care teams, and support staff to develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care that promote optimal patient outcomes. This role integrates clinical expertise with strong communication and advocacy skills to ensure seamless care throughout the patient journey.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing evidence-based interventions, evaluating patient responses to treatment, and continually adjusting care plans as needed. The ED RN demonstrates proficiency in addressing the psychosocial, physical, developmental, and cognitive needs of patients and their families across the lifespan. The nurse also facilitates discharge planning, patient education, and appropriate referrals to support continuity of care beyond the emergency department.

Qualifications
  • Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • AHA Basic Life Support
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • One year of previous emergency nursing experience (to include EMTALA and ESI 5 level triage as RN in the Emergency Department)
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekend, and holiday
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment
  • De-escalation certification upon hire; Upon recertification, SAMA Certification required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • SAMA Certification upon hire
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)


Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Our organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is $51.00 - $65.00 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
  • 12 Hour Shift Blended Pay: Straight time first 8 hours/1.5x for hours over 8 in a 12-hour day.
