Experienced RN - Medical Imaging/Diagnostic Radiology at Samaritan Hospital

  • Orientation: Must be able to commit to a full-time schedule for approximately one month to complete orientation.


What you will do:

  • Assessment, planning and care of patients who undergo diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures such as x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRI's
  • Affording all patients and their families with a professional, caring, and safe environment
  • Patient assessment, education on the type of procedure; administration of various kinds of IVs, fluids and medications; as well as constant patient monitoring
  • Providing clinical and safety standards in order to ensure the highest quality of patient care


Responsibilities:

  • The RN is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient where assigned
  • Planning the nursing care needed, including spiritual, emotional and physiological needs. Once planned, the RN is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is carried out through performance and or leadership of supervised personnel and that the plan of care is evaluated
  • The RN is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care delivered
  • The RN modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of services


What you will need:

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
  • Registered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care
  • The RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
  • 1 year of RN Acute experience is preferred
  • Procedural nursing/critical care nursing experience preferred
  • Has context menu


Pay Range: $41.00 - $53.10hr

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location."
