The Clinical Supervisor assures delivery of safe, high quality and cost effective care provided by competent co-workers. They ensure efficient utilization of available resources to meet productivity and financial goals. Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians and co-workers to communicate and improve processes across the continuum. Clinical Supervisor ensures units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care. Clinical Supervisor is proactively involved in patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office. They are leaders who inspire a shared vision, demonstrating the value of change and presenting it to co-workers with enthusiasm. Clinical Supervisor models the way by displaying professional standards, a positive attitude, and engaging co-workers to become leaders of change. They challenge current process and enable others to promote change by providing support, mentorship, and guidance to those who provide direct patient care. This role oversees daily operations, staffing, patient flow, quality initiatives, and staff development while collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership and supervision for GI nursing staff. • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery. • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow. • Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members. • Promote staff engagement, accountability, and professional growth. • Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to improve processes and outcomes. • Support quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. • Address patient, family, and staff concern professionally and effectively. Qualifications Required • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. • Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure. • Minimum 3 years of GI nursing experience. • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire). Preferred • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). • Previous leadership or management experience. • Nursing specialty certification. • Change management experience. Physical Requirements • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. • Prolonged standing and walking. • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting. Additional Certifications (Unit-Specific Requirements May Apply) ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., and other unit-specific certifications.
