Job Description

RN Clinical Supervisor for both the Breast Center and Radiation Oncology outpatient departments at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 10-hour Day shifts (no weekends or holidays).

The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is a responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. It is expected that the CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers, functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate. CSs scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care. The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: ANCC recognized specialty certification (or within 1 year of hire). For clinical supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022 who have not obtained an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022.
  • 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in specialty area.
  • 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Or
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Shared Governance experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
