Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will work closely with 1-3 Providers in Outpatient Cardiology Practice Clinics. They are the mediator between the patient and physician. Providers rely on clinical nurse coordinator to convey important information to them about our patients and alert them to critical issues in a timely manner.

Clinic Locations:
CAM, South County, West County.

Hours:
Monday through Friday, generally about 08am-5pm. Our phones shut off at 4:30.

No Weekends, No Nights, No Holidays.

Hybrid Schedule: Our Nurse Coordinators attends clinics with their Providers and if no clinic, they are able to work remotely, from home, once deemed ready, following completion of orientation/training. Potential for 1 day a week work from home.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.
• Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, conveys findings to physician, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments and assists with referrals to outside sources.
• Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.
• Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.

Required Qualifications

Education:
Associate Degree In Nursing Or Diploma In Registered Nursing

More About This Job

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

• 2+ years cardiology experience

Salary Range
$64,500.00 - $109,900.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
