Charge NurseThe Charge Nurse serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and resource for nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality resident care. This role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, supports staff development, coordinates daily operations, and promotes a culture of teamwork, safety, and excellence.
Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care while leading and supporting nursing staff.
- Coordinate daily clinical operations and resident care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Monitor resident conditions, identify changes, and respond appropriately to clinical concerns.
- Assist with staffing coordination and patient flow.
- Conduct patient rounds, chart reviews, and compliance monitoring.
- Support staff education, orientation, competency validation, and professional development.
- Participate in employee coaching and performance management.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Promote resident safety, quality care, resident satisfaction, and teamwork.
- Lead and respond to emergency situations while maintaining unit operations.
Qualifications: Required: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Maryland RN license or eligibility for Maryland licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: - Previous Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or supervisory experience.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
- Nursing specialty certification or willingness to obtain certification within three to five years.
Pay Range: $37.07 to $57.46 Based On Experience
