As our Registered Nurse (RN) at St Josephs Behavioral Health, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality, direct patient care within our psychiatric and chemical dependency acute care facility. This role involves critical responsibilities, influencing positive clinical outcomes and supporting our organization's mission and strategic goals. Every day you will engage in comprehensive patient care, from initial assessment and care plan development to ongoing evaluation and intervention for diverse age populations (child, adolescent, adult, geriatric). You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and apply sound clinical judgment in a dynamic environment, ensuring patient safety, privacy, and adherence to ethical guidelines. Your daily contributions will directly impact patient well-being and recovery.

You will possess in-depth knowledge of the nursing process, principles, and procedures, coupled with documented evidence of sound clinical judgment and technical competence. • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
• Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
• Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
• Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
• Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
• Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures.

$5,000 sign on for eligible new hires with at least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3-5 years.

Required:

• A minimum of 6 months recent experience in an Psychiatric and/or Chemical Dependency Nursing Acute Care Facility
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
