Your Impactful Role:

As Assistant Nurse Manager, you'll be a key partner to the Nurse Manager, providing essential leadership and support to our dedicated ED team. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care within our bustling department, which boasts:

  • 76 private treatment rooms, prioritizing patient comfort and privacy.
  • Nine centralized nursing stations for enhanced efficiency and caregiver accessibility.
  • Five advanced trauma rooms within our Level II Trauma Center, serving Southwest Washington.
  • Eight ambulance bays for streamlined patient transfers.
  • A dedicated clinical education room, fostering continuous professional development.
  • The innovative Community Health Hub, addressing social determinants of health in collaboration with community partners.
  • Serving over 85,000 annual visits, providing critical care for complex medical cases.

You'll be instrumental in hiring, staffing, scheduling, performance assessment, budget monitoring, and maintaining patient care standards. Your leadership will directly impact the well-being of our patients and the professional growth of our caregivers. Depending on the needs of the unit, the hours could be day and/or evening shift.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, management, and communication to the ED team.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical service delivery.
  • Support staff supervision, counseling, and performance assessments.
  • Promote open communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and clinical education.
  • Proactively implement measures to promote a safety climate.

What You'll Bring:

  • BSN required or actively enrolled with graduation within 3 years.
  • 3 years of Emergency nursing experience required.
  • Recent charge nurse experience (within the last 2 years) required.
  • Financial and budgetary experience (preferred).
  • Current WA RN license, BLS & ACLS certification.
