Expected to adhere to all hospital policies and to act as a role model in adherence to hospital and perioperative services policies and standards. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Provides age and culturally appropriate care. Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Coordinates the preparation of patients scheduled for surgery/procedure and patient care. Orients and mentors new staff members. Carries out physician orders. Instructs and educates patients and families. Provides nursing care to the patient scheduled for surgical and other invasive procedures. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Assesses, plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient after the surgical and other invasive procedures. Age specific admission and ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care.
Requirements

Summary
As a Clinical Nurse with AHMC, RN will make providing service a priority while caring for the whole person in a patient-centered atmosphere. The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating). Plans and provides advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients.
