Risk Manager - Quality Control
The Card Risk Process Excellence Team is currently hiring for a Manager that will take our Well Managed transformation to the next level by leading the Quality Control Testing Program, furthering the top-notch brand that Card Risk has built. This Manager will be responsible for the ongoing evolution of the quality program for Card in alignment with the Enterprise Control Standard and the Process Management and Controls Framework, ensuring unassailable and appropriate support ffor our team. As a key member of the Well Managed Program, this role will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line.

This role requires a well-rounded and seasoned individual who is comfortable adjusting their approach to meet unique needs across multiple stakeholder groups within a complex organization.
Core Responsibilities:
Management and day to day people leadership and operations of quality control assessment team
Ability to understand and disseminate Enterprise Control Standard requirements and guidance to multiple business areas
Management and oversight of quality control process, methodology and performance metrics
Serving as a key participant in Well Managed and tester training programs including, developing, and continuously evolving the Card program training to ensure compliance with the Enterprise Control Standard.
Engaging in Card and Divisional activities as warranted to drive career growth and development
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders, driving cross-functional opportunities to grow brand, processes and an enhanced risk management environment
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of Risk Management, Process Management, or Project Management experience
At least 2 years of people management experience
At least 2 years of change management experience in process improvement and transformation
At least 3 years of experience in process management leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
At least 3 years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree
Process Management Certification - LEAN, Six Sigma
Risk Management certification
5+ years of experience in Risk event & issue management and control management
4+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools
3+ years of experience working in the financial services industry
5+ years of experience in process management leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
5+ years of experience in responding to and interacting with internal audit or regulatory agencies

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
