Summary:

The Risk Management Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and sustaining enterprise patient safety and regulatory initiatives across Ballad Health. The position provides project management support for system wide safety infrastructure, regulatory reporting readiness, workflow standardization, dashboard development, and enterprise implementation initiatives. The project manager partners with Risk Management leadership and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure consistency, accountability, and successful execution of strategic patient safety priorities while supporting regulatory compliance and organizational readiness.

Essential Job Functions
• Coordinates enterprise patient safety initiatives across the health system
• Manage implementation timelines for strategic Risk Management projects
• Develops and maintains project plans, milestones, and implementation tracking tools.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary workgroups supporting enterprise safety initiatives.
• Assists with implementation of standardized Root Cause Analysis processes across the organization.
• Coordinates Great Catch reporting implementation and sustainment
• Supports patient Safety Organization (PSO) participation and reporting activities.
• Assist with CMS patient Safety Structural Measure (PSSM) readiness activities.
• Coordinates Leapfrog initiatives related to patient safety.
• Supports workplace violence reporting standardization and implementation
• Assists with dashboard development, executive reporting, and performance metrics.
• Develops standardized workflows, policies, educational materials, and implementation tools.
• Tracks regulatory requirements and implementation deadlines
• Collaboration with Information Technology regarding reporting infrastructure and workflow optimization
• Coordinates cross facility implementation activities to ensure standardized processes.
• Assists in developing presentations for executive leadership committees, and governing boards
• Maintains project documentation and implementation records.
• Identifies barriers to project completion and escalates issues appropriately.
• Participates in committees supporting enterprise patient safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management, or related Healthcare field.
