Job Summary

The Enterprise Risk & Insurance Data Analyst is a strategic and operationally focused position responsible for managing the information that supports the Company's enterprise insurance and risk related programs.

This position creates, documents, implements, and manages the business processes and governance standards surrounding enterprise risk and insurance-related information including property and operational exposures and compliance requirements. The individual partners with business leaders across Finance, Property Management, Development, Construction, Asset Management, Investment Management, Legal, Engineering, and Information Technology/ Digital Lab to create a trusted, enterprise-wide source of operational, financial, and insurance data used to assess performance and risk.

Leveraging AI technologies and business intelligence tools, this role transforms operational data into concise, meaningful reports and portfolio-level risk analytics that enhance risk and accounting relevant data management, improve underwriting outcomes, reduce renewal effort, strengthen accountability and governance, and support strategic business decisions.

The position serves as the Company's risk management and insurance information steward, ensuring that enterprise-relevant information is complete, accurate, standardized, and readily available when needed.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a single source of truth for insurance and exposure data.
  • Create and automate standardized reporting for investment valuation, transaction management, insured property oversight, construction projects, and other enterprise relevant information.
  • Improve the quality and consistency of insurance and risk data and reduce manual efforts.
  • Provide centralized data, analytical, and operational support to the accounting and risk management function around managing enterprise risk, improving internal controls, and insurance related activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of consistent data standards, controls and workflows. Govern insurance related data across multiple operating platforms.
  • Leverage AI technologies to automate data collection, validation, summarization, and reporting.
  • Support company risk assessment efforts.
  • Support decision-making through the creation and critical evaluation of analytics and reporting tools including scenario planning, stress testing, premium estimation, and claim management.
  • Data Governance, Dashboards, and Management Reporting for risk and insurance data (including policy, claim, economics and compliance).
  • Develop and Maintain Architecture and Reporting for Risk and Insurance Intelligence.
  • Support Insurance economics (invoice and payment monitoring oversight).
  • Renewal and Insurance Placement Support.
  • Manage Insurance Related Project Management activities, including overall program administration, location assessments, carrier assessments, and claims oversight.
  • Supporting enterprise-wide internal control assessment and improvement activities.
  • Cross-Functional Business Partnership including diligence support, assessing insurance requirements, and coordinating documentation requirements.
  • Support Business Process Improvement Assessment activities.
  • Reporting & Analytics Resource Management; including dashboards and general management reporting.

Experience and Education
Required
  • Relevant experience in enterprise data governance, data analytics, automation, financial operations and AI tools and/or risk management.
  • Experience managing complex business information across multiple departments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and ability to work with large, multi-source datasets.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Management, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Commercial real estate and/or financial markets experience.
  • Commercial property insurance experience.
  • Construction risk management experience.
  • Experience using business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience implementing enterprise governance programs.
Technical Competencies

Experience with:
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • ChatGPT Enterprise (or equivalent tool)
