Overview

Do you want to contribute to strategic initiatives that have a tangible impact on risk management, compliance, and governance within a rapidly growing international company? Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Corporate Affairs, you will play a key role in engaging and aligning various committees and teams to ensure a consistent approach to the application of risk management frameworks. Responsibilities

• Act as a key resource for management, regulators, clients, and board members on matters related to governance, risk management, compliance, and privacy protection• Define and implement governance practices for data, privacy, artificial intelligence (AI), and corporate policies• Lead various governance and risk management committees to ensure the successful progress of strategic initiatives• Oversee projects related to privacy protection, compliance certifications and frameworks (e.g., ISO, DFARS, SOC 2), risk management, and artificial intelligence• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and tools that support governance and compliance activities• Ensure rigorous follow-up on action plans and support teams in implementing best practices• Coordinate external audits and guide teams through the execution of corrective actions• Foster a risk management culture that is consistent and aligned with the organization’s business objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Law or another field related to governance or risk management
  • Have a minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within an international environment
  • Have experience in privacy protection, particularly in relation to Quebec’s Law 25 and the GDPR, as well as a strong understanding of issues related to data governance, AI, information security, DFARS, and contractual compliance
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach
  • Excel at communication and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible language
  • Be proficient with information technologies
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken* (required)
  • Have a good knowledge of ISO standards (particularly ISO 27001) and internal controls auditing frameworks (particularly SOC 2) (an asset)
