Job Summary:As a Project Risk Management professional at Bechtel, you will mitigate risks and maximize success. You will support enterprise analysis of project risk management activities such as proposal development, program deployment, reporting, and/or risk software screening, management and maintenance. You will be essential in driving and safeguarding project security and success. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:- Supports Project Risk Managers in pre- and post-award project risk management (PRM) activities (e.g., proposal development, PRM program deployment)
- Supports specialist Corporate PRM projects for cross-GBU benefit
- Responsible for the development, deployment, and management of Corporate PRM data collection, dashboards, analysis tools and reports
- Supports the enterprise analysis of project risks
- Responsible for reviewing and updating the PRM team's System Admin (risk software) procedures and processes
- Works on the deployment of risk software to new projects, identifying and understanding configuration requirements, deviations, advises of any constraints and agreed changes and provides administration services to the project deployment
- Responsible for the management, maintenance, and development of risk software to include quarterly usage reporting, overseeing, and auditing the setup and maintenance of the risk software, managing license distribution across database instances and development and maintenance of reports
- Provides support with updating and maintaining the PRM System Admin team documentation
- Provides guidance/support for efficiency of software use and analysis of data and escalating issues for resolutions
- Ensures continual and optimal risk software support for projects and training on the use of risk software
- Coordinates risk software releases, in conjunction with Bechtel IS&T and risk software vendor support team
- Assists in the screen of the risk software market for due diligence, similar product analysis and existing vendor analysis
Education and Experience Requirements:- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:- Basic understanding of risk management concepts within an operational, project, or commercial environment.
- Foundational knowledge of project controls principles, including cost estimating, scheduling, and forecasting concepts.
- Ability to gather, organize, and perform basic analysis of cost, schedule, and risk-related data under supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power Bi); ability to prepare clear summaries and exhibits for review.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, logs, and supporting documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to follow established processes, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines with guidance from supervision.
