Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program
• Current NP or PA license in the state of Virginia
• Certification in Rheumatology preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnosis skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history and physical exams
• Diagnose and manage rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus
• Develop personalized treatment plans and adjust therapies as needed
• Perform joint injections and aspirations, with training provided if necessary
• Provide education about disease management and lifestyle modifications
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and maintain timely EHR documentation
• Engage in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives
