Job Title: RHEL STIG Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • STIG Configuration and Compliance proficiency.
  • Configure systems in accordance with DISA STIG requirements.
  • Validate and report STIG compliance across the enterprise.
  • Administer and maintain applications on RHEL.
  • Develop and debug shell scripts for application management.
  • Achieving DISA STIGs compliance with tools such as SteelCloud ConfigOS. 
  • Work with Hyper-V and Azure to manage servers in virtual and cloud environments.
  • Effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
  • Proficiency in STIG application, review, troubleshooting, validation and compliance
  • SteelCloud ConfigOS familiarity
  • ServiceNow integrated workflows/automation
  • Microsoft Federation Services
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting or prior software development experience
  • DoD PKI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security tooling challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of industry compliance standards (e.g., NIST) and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is advantageous
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging security tools
  • Required DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+
