Full Job Description
Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and motivated AR Supervisor. This supervisor will be responsible for managing a group of near shore AR representatives and driving cash collections for a provider system. The AR Supervisor plays a critical frontline leadership role and serves as a partner to AR Managers and Directors, supporting both team performance and client outcomes. Extensive travel to Mexico City OR ability to expatriate to Mexico for 1 year required. The AR Supervisor manages between 10-15 AR representatives in a nearshore location. This position will play a key leadership position in the continued growth and optimization of Impact Advisors' nearshore revenue cycle operations. The AR Supervisor will partner with US and Mexico-based leadership teams to support workforce development, operational consistency, and scalable delivery models that drive client outcomes. The position requires regular travel to Mexico, including extended stays of up to three weeks every other month, to support onboarding, training, team engagement, operational oversight, and leadership development activities. This position reports to the AR Director and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to client success while making a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operational Oversight: - Monitor key AR performance metrics including cash collections, aged AR, denial rates, productivity, quality scores, accounts worked, and payer-specific trends to ensure achievement of client and organizational targets. - Ensure timely escalation and resolution of payer issues, including payment delays, contract discrepancies, authorization concerns, and systemic billing barriers impacting cash flow - Conduct account audits and quality reviews to validate follow-up accuracy, documentation standards, appeal effectiveness, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements. - Oversee management of high-dollar and high-priority accounts, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution strategies are implemented to maximize reimbursement. - Review escalated or complex claims requiring supervisor intervention, and support resolution for those claims, while incorporating training to the rep. Staff Leadership: - Partner with leadership to develop and execute workforce planning strategies, including onboarding, training, and capacity management for expanding nearshore teams. - Lead, coach, and evaluate AR Representatives to meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards. - Partner with a local near shore leader to become an expert in US Healthcare and AR - Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team huddles, and performance discussions. - Support disciplinary action or escalation as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Establish and monitor operational performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, employee engagement, and client outcomes within the nearshore delivery model. - Work closely with AR Managers, Directors, and Client Delivery leadership to escalate payer issues, recommend process improvements, and support client-focused outcomes. - Foster alignment between US-based and nearshore teams by promoting consistent communication, knowledge sharing, process adoption, and accountability across locations. - Participate in leadership or operational meetings as needed. Required - 3+ years of experience in healthcare Accounts Receivable, including follow-up, denials, and appeals. - At least 1-2 years of AR team lead or supervisor experience. - Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, billing workflows, and payer behavior. - Proficiency with EHR and billing systems, Microsoft Excel, and workflow reporting tools. - Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. - Ability and willingness to travel to Mexico for extended periods, including approximately three weeks every other month, to support operational leadership, training, onboarding, team development, and business growth initiatives. Opportunity to expatriate for a year is also available. Preferred - Hands-on AR experience with California payers and billing standards. - Experience supporting large, multi-facility health systems. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Experience in complex denial management environments. - Experience supporting and leading teams within a nearshore or offshore delivery model. - Experience scaling nearshore operations, including workforce planning, process standardization, and performance management across distributed teams.
