Retirement Services Specialist

Location: Denver, CO (In-Office)

Job Type: Full-Time Exempt

About the Role

The Retirement Services Specialist serves as a key relationship manager supporting a portfolio of employer-sponsored retirement plans. This role is responsible for coordinating plan operations, ensuring compliance with ERISA/IRS regulatory requirements, and delivering high-quality service to clients and their employees.

What You'll Do
  • Manage 25-35 client relationships (AUM $1 - $75 million) within our Retirement Services team. This includes serving as the primary day-to-day employer contact, communicating with a variety of external partners, and assuming ownership for creating and maintaining successful working relationships.
  • Overall coordination responsibility for the plan's operation to ensure work performed is in compliance with governmental and/or plan document requirements, and meets quality standards.
  • Lead client investment committee meetings
  • Review materials for their client's meetings and create meeting minutes.
  • Create fee benchmarking and Request for Proposals for clients.
  • Review the plan design annually
  • Develop and lead group and 1:1 education meetings for their clients as well as SVP RM III's clients.
  • Manage and resolve difficult administration and servicing issues; errors, corrections, etc.
  • Build and maintain knowledge on vendor products and features, processes and procedures and industry/regulatory changes.
  • Manage fund changes for all Retirement Services clients.
  • Update client assets in investment analytics databases, pull quarterly fund commentary and update industry trends materials.
  • Assist in developing fee and service proposals for all prospects.

  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and retirement plan operations.
