Job Description

Job Summary

As a Retail Training Manager within the Retail department, you will be responsible for delivering training programs to Sephora and Sephora[redacted]'s store teams. Your focus will be on leadership development, coaching, client service, and selling skills. These trainings promote lasting behavior change that supports key business initiatives to help the company achieve its business goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Training, you will manage and execute consistent, engaging, and effective facilitation across a variety of training methods and channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

Time Spent

Facilitate dynamic in-person training to support ongoing skill building and development. This includes onsite training, coaching, and feedback both in your local market and traveling to remote markets.

  • Demonstrate expert-level facilitation through engaging learning experiences that drive skill development, knowledge retention, and behavior change.
  • Support key business initiatives by delivering behavior-focused training on a range of topics, including leadership development, client service and selling, new store openings, and other company priorities and rollouts.
  • Provide direct, clear, and solution-based in-session coaching and development to store leaders and other attendees during training sessions.
  • Serve as an expert facilitator, instructor, and coach, adapting training delivery to meet the specific needs of diverse audiences while maintaining the integrity of learning outcomes.

Execute a wide variety of virtual instructor-led trainings on various topics, catering to a full range of audience types, including different positions and varying experience and skill levels.

  • Serve as an expert facilitator, instructor, and coach. Bring training content to life through engaging facilitation techniques that create meaningful and effective learning experiences.
  • Proficiently leverage virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Mentimeter) to effectively set up, manage, and execute training sessions.
  • Provide personalized feedback and real-time coaching to support learner development and skill application.
  • Facilitate peer-to-peer feedback to enhance future learning experiences.

Hold recurring planning meetings with Sephora and Sephora[redacted]'s District Managers to discuss and align on a training strategy tailored to the specific needs of each market. Provide market-themed feedback and insights to inform and influence future visit strategy.

Provide solution-based feedback and input to retail business partners to address training needs and gaps in support of continuous improvement and ROI for all training programs.

Manage and monitor administrative responsibilities, communications, schedules, travel, expenses, and budgets while staying current on store communications, Daily Doses, initiatives, and rollouts to deliver relevant, impactful, and up-to-date training experiences.

Working Conditions

Must be able to travel frequently, averaging up to 75% depending on business needs, training schedules, and seasonal priorities. Travel can include airplane flights, personal and/or rental car trips. Travel can be out of town, overnight, weekend, extended stays, and extended hours.

Consistent access to dedicated remote working space is conducive to a virtual learning environment with access to high-speed stable internet to facilitate virtual training.

What You'll Get:

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,025.00 - $110,675.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
