What You Will Do

You will be responsible for winning new business and expanding existing customer relationships across assigned retail accounts. The role combines complex solution selling, account management, and customer issue resolution to help deliver profitable growth, long-term retention, and repeat business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create new market share by selling a broad range of loss prevention products and services to targeted opportunities and existing customers.
  • Personally contact and secure profitable new business through relationships with multiple-level contacts within large retail customer organizations.
  • Manage assigned accounts across opportunity identification, pre-sales planning, deal execution, post-sales installation planning, and follow-up.
  • Support post-sales satisfaction by resolving customer issues related to invoicing, service, and other account matters.
  • Maintain strong relationships across your account portfolio to support retention, expansion, and long-term customer value.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and manufacturing teams to define product specifications and support successful implementation.
  • Present solutions and value propositions to customers and close sales on terms that are mutually satisfactory to the customer and Johnson Controls.
  • Develop annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly plans aligned to business growth opportunities and company objectives.
  • Share market and product intelligence with regional sales colleagues to help identify additional growth opportunities.

  • You will embrace new tools, methods, and ideas that improve sales execution, planning, and customer engagement.
  • You will build and maintain the relationships needed to protect retention, grow share of wallet, and create repeat business.

What we look for
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of sales or sales management experience within the retail sector.
  • Demonstrated consistent record of achieving performance goals.
  • Experience with product and solution selling.
  • Experience selling to retailers.
  • Experience selling loss prevention systems and/or products at the C-level.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and stakeholder expectations in a complex sales environment.
Preferred
  • Experience selling into the retail vertical, ideally to C-level stakeholders in Information Technology, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, or Supply Chain

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $97,000 - $152,000(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis.
