Position Summary
The Retail Pharmacist, under the auspices of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, compounds medications for use. Dispenses medication accurately and on time. Monitors store revenue and operating expenses. Prepares store for physical inventory. Prices and stock merchandise. Assists the Retail Pharmacy Manager with analyzing operating reports, implementing performance improvement plans, and the completion and analysis of business reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
Work Experience
Previous Pharmacy experience preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
Certifications/Licensure
Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy. If currently licensed in a state other than Kentucky must obtain licensure by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 3 months of hire/placement.

Prices and stocks merchandise, organizes and executes the display and signing of regular, promotional and seasonal merchandise.
Orders and receives merchandise, develops sales/hours forecasts, verifies billing of merchandise, and manages merchandise returns and inter-store transfers.
Assists in supervision of pharmacy technicians, in distributive functions and department operations.
Follows established procedures and guidelines as outlined in the Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Book for dispensing of medications.
