Position Summary

The Response and Recovery Lead leads an organization's technical response during major disruptions, cyber attacks, or system failures. The primary objective in this role is to coordinate with the cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and validate response and recovery runbooks to be accurate and timely. This role ensures operational resilience, protects company assets and reputation, and integrates continuity planning into daily operational strategy.

What you will do:
  • Incident & Crisis Management Lead: Lead operational readiness for disruptive events. Establish monitoring, alerting, escalation, and incident reporting procedures to respond proactively to threats (e.g., IT outages, Cyber events, etc). This includes executing our Major Incident Management process.
  • Backup Validation & Governance: Oversee the architecture, compliance, and verification of immutable backup for enterprise backup infrastructure across cloud, on premise, and hybrid environments
  • Testing, Training, & Drills: Design and execute regular drills, exercises, and training programs to validate plans. This will include reporting Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
  • Governance & Reporting: Prepare periodic reporting for Executive Management, on the organization's resilience posture, performance metrics, and risk culture. This includes developing action plans based on results.
  • Response and Recovery: Partner with the organization's Business Continuity & Resilience Program Manager to ensure warehouses and sales can ship/order manually and recover during an outage.


When you will work:
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.
  • On-Call and Weekend Expectations


What you bring to the table:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology or Business Continuity
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered) in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, or governing enterprise-wide Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery programs.
  • Experience in implementing, maintaining, or governing enterprise-wide Incident and Crisis Management response procedures.
  • Framework Knowledge: ITIL, Incident Management, NIST Incident Response, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), etc
  • Risk & Financial Acumen: Ability to translate operational disruptions into quantifiable financial and non-financial impacts, aligning recovery plans with executive risk appetite metrics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to partner effectively with executive leaders, IT/EISO, Legal/Compliance, Supply Chain, HR, Facilities, and Operations.
  • Crisis Leadership: Calm under pressure with clear decision-making capabilities during active disruptive events or emergencies.
