Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state licensure is necessary.
• At least 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Proven experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with residents and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for residents.
• Consult with physicians to create and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct diagnostic testing like lung capacity measurements and blood gas evaluation.
• Administer therapies including oxygen and aerosol medications.
• Manage ventilator-dependent residents and initiate support when needed.
• Monitor residents' respiratory status and equipment functionality.
• Educate residents and families on treatments and equipment usage.
