Full-Time Day Respiratory Therapist - RWJBarnabas HealthA typical day for a Full-Time Day Respiratory Therapist may include:- Providing basic and advanced respiratory therapy treatments for patients across a variety of inpatient care settings.
- Assessing patients' respiratory status and developing appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Transcribing and implementing physician orders accurately and efficiently.
- Administering oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway management, and other respiratory care procedures.
- Monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
- Performing patient assessments and responding promptly to changes in respiratory condition.
- Educating patients and families on respiratory treatments, equipment, and disease management.
- Documenting patient care, assessments, and treatment outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members to provide exceptional patient care.

To be considered for this Full-Time Day Respiratory Therapist opportunity:- Graduate of an NBRC-approved School of Respiratory Care.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current New Jersey State Respiratory Care License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Successful completion of all required orientation and onboarding programs.
