Your Opportunity:This is a multi-site float position based out of the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) requiring the candidate to orientate to multiple Stollery sites as needed operationally. As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.

Required Qualifications: Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).
Additional Required Qualifications: Graduate from a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy is required. Must be eligible to write or have passed the National Respiratory Certification Exam. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. Active member of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of recent critical care experience in a tertiary neonatal and pediatric setting. Oriented to the Stollery Children's Hospital. Certified in NRP/PALS. Experience includes transport/ECLS teams, CISM, charge therapist, student preceptorship, and quality improvement initiatives. Active in committees and practice change implementation. Strong clinical documentation and task management skills.
