About the Role
McKesson is seeking a Respiratory Clinical Program Manager to serve as a clinical subject matter expert supporting respiratory care solutions across acute care, post-acute care, home medical equipment (HME), and alternate site settings. In this highly visible role, you will partner with sales, HME, BioMed, and McKesson Brands teams to provide clinical education, customer consultation, and program leadership focused on respiratory therapies and equipment.
The ideal candidate combines deep respiratory clinical expertise with strong presentation, consulting, and relationship management skills. This role supports business growth through customer engagement, clinical training, product evaluation, and advancement of McKesson's respiratory program strategy.
What You'll Do
- Deliver clinical education and training on respiratory products and therapies through virtual and in-person presentations.
- Support customers, clinicians, and healthcare organizations with clinical guidance and evidence-based respiratory care recommendations.
- Serve as a respiratory clinical expert for therapies including:
- CPAP and sleep therapy
- Ventilator management
- Oxygen therapy
- Nebulization and aerosol delivery systems
- Partner with sales teams to support customer meetings, product evaluations, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Participate in customer-facing presentations and executive-level discussions regarding respiratory solutions.
- Collaborate with McKesson Brands, HME, BioMed, and commercial teams to support product strategy and program development.
- Conduct clinical assessments, program reviews, and utilization evaluations to identify opportunities for improved patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities for product standardization, clinical best practices, and cost-effective respiratory care solutions.
- Provide clinical insights and market feedback to support product development, testing, and innovation efforts.
- Represent McKesson at industry conferences, customer events, and professional respiratory care meetings.
Basic Requirements
- Associate degree and 7+ years of relevant respiratory care, respiratory therapy, or clinical respiratory program experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- Experience providing clinical education, training, or respiratory therapy consultation.
- Experience with respiratory therapies and equipment, including CPAP, ventilators, oxygen therapy, and nebulization.
- Experience presenting to healthcare professionals, customers, or clinical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience supporting Home Medical Equipment (HME), post-acute care, long-term care, or alternate site care environments.
- Experience working in healthcare distribution, medical device, or respiratory equipment industries.
- Previous customer-facing, sales support, or clinical consulting experience.
- Experience supporting product evaluations, product development initiatives, or clinical research activities.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory disease state management and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers and build relationships across clinical and commercial stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications.
Travel & Work Environment
- Remote/home-based position with travel throughout assigned regions.
- Travel required approximately 30% across the United States.
- Frequent customer visits, educational events, conferences, and sales support engagements.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of computer and phone-based work.
- Ability to travel via automobile and commercial transportation.
- Ability to present and facilitate training sessions in virtual and in-person environments.
