POSITION OVERVIEW

The RST Lead is the senior on-site security professional and working supervisor for a dedicated UHNW private family residential security program in the northern San Francisco area. Reporting to the GRS Western Regional Director, the RST Lead is accountable for overall security posture, team performance, the client relationship, and operational integrity of the program. The RST Lead works one of the day shifts alongside the team and serves as the principal family's primary security point of contact.

This leadership role demands equal measures of tactical competence, executive presence, and service excellence. The ideal candidate leads a small cohesive team, earns the trust of high-profile principals, and operates with the discretion a UHNW residential engagement requires.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

The RST Lead works a 12-hour day shift on a fireman rotation. Active residential coverage runs approximately 9 months (September through May); the family vacates during the 3-month summer period.

Annual salary is $100,000, paid weekly across all 52 weeks. The $100,000 rate reflects the distribution of a 9-month working engagement ($135,000 equivalent) spread evenly across the year for income stability.

During the summer, RST Lead responsibilities are reduced but not suspended. The Lead remains on retainer and conducts periodic welfare checks (exterior inspections and interior walkthroughs as directed by the GRS Western Regional Director). GRS may also offer optional ad-hoc assignments for additional voluntary compensation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership & Team Management

? Serve as working supervisor for a four-person RST (Lead + 3 Agents), setting the standard for professionalism, protocol adherence, and service delivery.

? Develop, implement, and maintain post orders, SOPs, and emergency action plans (EAPs) for all residential operations.

? Monitor RST Agent performance; provide coaching and on-the-job training; escalate concerns to the GRS Western Regional Director as needed.

? Coordinate scheduling and contingency staffing to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 coverage; manage leave and absence mitigation proactively.

Client Relationship & Principal Interface

? Serve as the primary GRS point of contact for the principal family; provide updates and maintain a relationship built on trust, discretion, and proactive communication.

? Adapt security protocols to align with the family's lifestyle, schedule, and privacy expectations without compromising protective standards.

? Coordinate residential security logistics: vendor access, guest arrivals, household staff integration, and event support.

Operational Security & Summer Continuity

? Execute shift duties alongside RST Agents: access control, interior/exterior patrols, CCTV and alarm monitoring, and shift logging.

? Monitor the threat environment; provide relevant intelligence briefings to the GRS Western Regional Director and principal family representatives.

? Manage all incident reporting per GRS standards; serve as on-site incident commander during emergencies.

? Conduct periodic welfare checks of the residence during the summer period; serve as GRS POC for vendor and property management activity.

? Maintain readiness to re-mobilize the program ahead of the family's return.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

? 7-10 years of progressive experience in residential security, executive protection, law enforcement, or military service; 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.

? Valid California BSIS Security Guard Registration and BSIS Firearms Permit (exposed carry for security duty); must possess or be eligible to obtain prior to deployment.

? Demonstrated experience managing security operations for UHNW principals or high-profile executives.

? Strong client-facing communication skills; ability to represent GRS with executive presence and serve as a trusted advisor to the principal family.

? Proficiency with residential security systems, CCTV, access control technology, and threat monitoring tools.

? Experience developing and maintaining post orders, SOPs, and EAPs.
