POSITION OVERVIEW

The RST Agent serves as a dedicated protective security professional assigned to a UHNW private family residence in the northern San Francisco area. As part of a four-person residential team, the RST Agent is responsible for physical security, access control, and situational awareness of the principal family, their property, and guests during all assigned shifts. This is a high-trust, discreet, service-oriented role requiring a polished professional demeanor, sound tactical judgment, and an unwavering commitment to principal safety and privacy.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

This position follows a 12-hour fireman shift rotation providing 24/7 residential coverage. The engagement mirrors the principal family's academic-year calendar - approximately 9 months of active coverage (September through May). During the 3-month summer period, the family vacates the residence and coverage is suspended.

Annual salary is $85,000, paid weekly across all 52 weeks regardless of the summer pause. This structure is intentional: the $85,000 rate reflects the distribution of a 9-month working engagement ($115,000 equivalent) spread evenly across the year, providing stable, uninterrupted income.

During the summer, RST Agents have no obligations to the residential account. GRS may offer optional ad-hoc assignments (event security, travel support, etc.) for additional compensation - entirely voluntary.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

? Conduct all assigned shifts maintaining an alert, professional posture throughout each 12-hour rotation.

? Execute access control protocols: visitor screening, vendor credentialing, and vehicle/personnel logging at all entry points.

? Perform routine interior and exterior patrols of the residence and grounds; document observations in the shift log.

? Maintain situational awareness throughout all shift hours; monitor for anomalies, threats, and suspicious activity.

? Monitor and operate residential security systems including CCTV, alarm panels, intercoms, and access control platforms.

? Maintain accurate shift logs; brief the incoming RST Agent or Lead at each relief to ensure seamless continuity.

? Respond to and manage emergencies (medical, intrusion, fire) per established emergency action plans (EAPs).

? Provide discreet protective accompaniment to principal family members within and around the property as directed.

? Coordinate with household staff, estate managers, and vendors to ensure security protocols are observed without disrupting household operations.

? Maintain strict confidentiality of all aspects of the principal family's life, schedule, and security arrangements.

? Report all incidents, anomalies, and near-misses promptly to the RST Lead per GRS reporting protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

? 3-5 years of experience in residential security, executive protection, law enforcement, or military service.

? Valid California BSIS Security Guard Registration and BSIS Firearms Permit (exposed carry for security duty); must possess or be eligible to obtain prior to deployment.

? Demonstrated ability to operate in a discreet, high-privacy residential environment serving UHNW principals.

? Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce accurate shift logs and incident reports.

? Proficiency with residential security systems, CCTV, and access control technology.

? Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

? Valid California driver's license with clean driving record.

? Must pass a comprehensive background investigation (criminal history, employment verification, references).

QUALIFICATIONS - HIGHLY PREFERRED

? Prior sworn law enforcement (municipal, county, state, or federal) or U.S. military service - strongly preferred and weighted heavily in candidate evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS - HIGHLY DESIRABLE

? U.S. Army Combat Medic (68W), Navy Corpsman, Air Force IDMT, or civilian EMT/Paramedic certification.
