Dewberry is seeking multiple Resident Engineers to work on NJDOT projects in New Jersey. To qualify, candidates must have prior Resident Engineer and NJDOT SiteManager  experience on NJDOT projects and possess NICET IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent; NJSAT, ACI Field Grade Technician, ACI-CCTC and Rutgers TCC. Additional requirements include excellent communications skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.

Dewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full-time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire. Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of prior construction inspection experience on NJDOT, NJTA or other Transportation agency projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or related field is required. 
  • Must possess NICET IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred.
  • NJSAT, ACI Field Grade I Technician, ACI-CCTC and Rutgers TCC certifications.
  • 1 year of NJDOT  SiteManager experience.
  • 1 year of NJDOT Resident Engineer Experience
  • Previous experience on NJDOT Operations Projects is desirable
  • Additional requirements include excellent communications skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to repetitively stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Salary Range

The projected hourly range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
