  • Collaborate with management on compliance with PHMSA regulations and safety standards.

Full Job Description
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Reservoir Engineering Specialist in our Columbus, Michigan location.

This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineering Specialist, Engineering Specialist, and Senior Engineering Specialist) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Responsibilities

The Storage Engineering Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and compliance of the BlueWater Gas Storage facility.
  • Engineering design and support of well drilling and well abandonment operations
  • Engineering support for projects and maintenance activities
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking storage inventories
  • Monitor and track integrity of wells and reservoir (API 1171)
  • Monitor and oversee workovers and well logging
  • Compile and interpret data, maintain records
  • Work closely with Management to maintain compliance regarding PHMSA Regulations (Storage Integrity & CFR part 192) as well as Environmental and Safety
  • Provide support for audits and inspections


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline with five years of engineering/project management experience will be accepted.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Geological, Chemical, Mechanical)
  • 2+ years of experience in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 2+ years of underground gas storage experience

Pay Range Minimum: $68,436.68

Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
