ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide Reservoir Engineering support for operated and non-operated assets as well as business development opportunities.
  • Lead technical studies for the subsurface team such as type curve updates, well spacing and completion design optimization, parent / child impact, evaluating secondary benches, flowback management, refracs, and data gathering programs as needed.
  • Build and optimize long-term field development plans including remaining well inventory, upside resource estimates, and total asset value. Responsible for year-end and quarterly reserve updates.
  • Evaluate well proposals and support BD efforts including setting performance expectations, estimating project economics, and creating documentation for management approval.
  • Responsible for providing management with operational updates including development activity, expense tracking, well performance, and type curve compliance. Create fit for purpose tools and reports to communicate this information across disciplines.
  • Identify ways to improve subsurface data management, internal workflows, and processes in order to eliminate redundancy, improve efficiency, and increase value.
  • Support quarterly planning cycle requests for updated production forecasts along with the associated capital and expense outlook.
  • Build credible and productive relationships with non-op partners through technical meetings, knowledge shares, and development planning activities.

  • Ability to influence others through solid technical work, relationships, etc rather than from a position of authority.
  • Background in, or a willingness to learn, process mapping and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple, concise terms to non-technical staff.
  • Must be a team player and have a willingness to mentor less experienced staff including engineering techs and other disciplines.
