Job Responsibilities
The Reservoir & Corporate Development Engineer will serve as an integral member of the Reservoir & Corporate Development team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Work both independently and collaboratively within the Reservoir, Operations, Corporate Development, and Strategic Planning teams.
- Participate in various corporate planning evaluations, including forecasting, development of the strategic plan, economic sensitivities, project ranking, appraisal program economics, and budget-related activities.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to effectively develop the assets assigned, including numerical and analytical models, well spacing, and reservoir analysis.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to enhance well production performance and optimize returns across varying flow and marketing conditions.
- Assist in the coordination of operational timing and financial assumptions across Seneca’s departments, including drilling, completions, engineering, production, marketing, and midstream.
- Prepare analysis to aid in and facilitate commercial business decisions.
- Participate in the company's reserve process.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior Company executives.
- Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards, and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
Job Qualifications
- A strong understanding of the technical, operational, and commercial considerations surrounding the development of natural gas assets.
- A track record of identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to improve program level returns.
- Previous experience performing RTA work and statistical analysis.
- Effective communication of technical and nuanced subjects to a broad audience.
- A high intellectual curiosity and extreme attention to detail are key attributes.
- Self-starter with the ability to think strategically and interpret and analyze input data needed to forecast future performance accurately.
- Strong working knowledge of ARIES.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong working knowledge of RTA analysis and software
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience
The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
