Description
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking applications for one full-time Research Professor (non-tenure track) for a 9-month appointment to work in the area of bioinorganic chemistry, with a specific focus on radical SAM enzymes, radical SAM mechanisms, and hydrogenases and their maturation. This position has an anticipated starte date of Fall 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the PI as well as other faculty at TAMU and other insitutions, to develop and advance scientific objectives. The successful candidate will engage in research development, including preparation of proposals for research funding. The successful canddiate will disseminate research through written and oral presentations, collaborate on the acquisition of funding to support research, and mentor graduate students, postdoctoral student fellows, visiting scholars and research staff.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry and 20 years of research experience is required.
