Your role and responsibilities

As a Research Scientist specializing in Quantum Device Technology, you will perform research covering a broad array of topics in Quantum computing. Your expertise will span multiple areas, including gates, coherence, design, simulation, test, tuning, photonics/interconversion, Josephson electronics, and device theory.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Conduct Advanced Research: Perform in-depth research in quantum computing, exploring various topics such as gates, coherence, and device theory to advance knowledge in the field.
Design and Simulation: Design and simulate quantum devices, leveraging expertise in photonics, interconversion, and Josephson electronics to develop innovative solutions.
Test and Tuning: Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate and refine quantum devices, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with colleagues to address complex challenges in quantum device technology, sharing expertise and insights to drive progress.
Theoretical Analysis: Apply theoretical knowledge to analyze and interpret results, informing future research directions and advancements in quantum computing.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
