Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Manager for the The Center for Prevention Science (CPS) within the School of Social Work.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Administers program protocols and oversees staff responsible for the research, evaluation, quality improvement, and data reporting services delivered by CPS.
- Designs, develops, conducts and monitors tools, statistical procedures and methodologies to accomplish applicable research and evaluation objectives as defined by program goals and contracts.
- Supports translation of research into practice by guiding the preparation of technical reports and publications that reflect data collection and analysis.
- Works on project dissemination, including reports and conference presentations, and supporting the CPS Director and Co-Director to expand the Center's research portfolio.
- Utilizes the working title of "Research Program Administrator" and is expected to complete highly complex work objectives independently or with limited oversight.
- Works in a professional manner that represents a strong understanding of research and evaluation methods and reflect the interests of CPS and its stakeholders.
- Interfaces with external stakeholders and oversees a team of full-time and part-time professional staff members and students.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience - Master's degree in social work, or another relevant social science field, and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general research principles and practices.
- Three (3) years of relevant professional research and/or evaluation experience.
Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications - Ph.D.
- Skills in project management, program administration, budgeting/financial management, supervision of professional staff, work organization, coordination, facilitation and report writing. Experience publishing in academic journals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to professionally and diplomatically interact with external stakeholders and provide useful, constructive feedback to a large team of staff members.
- Experience working in child welfare or another prevention field.
Equipment Utilized - Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Bookings, and Powerpoint). Must have an understanding of technology and its uses within the research process (i.e., statistical analysis software, web-based surveys and scanning software).
- Other equipment is also used including, copiers, LCD projectors, and recording devices (for data collection).
Physical Demands and Work Environment - General office environment including light lifting.
