The candidate will be responsible for supporting a wide range of research and project-related activities. Key responsibilities include:
• Clean, manage, integrate, and analyze complex research datasets while ensuring data quality and reproducibility.
• Develop reproducible analytical workflows and well-documented code using R , SAS, STATA and/or Python.
• Conduct advanced statistical analyses of large-scale secondary and longitudinal health datasets to address research questions in population and oral health.
• Apply advanced methods, including Multilevel Analysis of Individual Heterogeneity and Discriminatory Accuracy (MAIHDA), multilevel modelling, interaction analyses, and other appropriate statistical approaches.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate statistical analysis plans, including variable selection, model specification, sensitivity analyses, and interpretation of findings.
• Produce statistical results, tables, and figures for manuscripts, reports, presentations, and grant applications.
• Coordinating research project activities and participating in team meetings.
• Collaborate with researchers and trainees to support study design, statistical methodology, data interpretation, and scientific publications.
• Supporting knowledge mobilization activities (e.g., reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, infographics).

Additional related duties may be assigned as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum requirement: Masters' Degree

Academic level: Minimum of master's degree in dentistry or in a related field (e.g. health and social services, public health, social sciences)
• PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related quantitative discipline.
• More than 10 years of experience in biostatistics
• Demonstrated experience applying advanced statistical methods to health, population, or social science research.
• Experience analyzing large-scale observational, longitudinal, or survey datasets.
• Language skills: Bilingual French English, oral and written

The successful candidate must have several personal skills: Rigor, teamwork, excellent adaptability and analytical skills, motivated and earning to learn, sense of responsibility, initiative, communication skills, management of priorities and autonomy.

OTHER QUALIFYING SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Experience in dental research desirable
• Strong programming skills in R and/or Python, with experience developing reproducible analytical workflows.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical modelling, including multilevel and interaction-based approaches; experience with MAIHDA is an asset.
• Strong data management, statistical interpretation, and visualization skills.
• Ability to translate research questions into appropriate statistical approaches and communicate findings clearly to interdisciplinary research teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple analytical tasks, and meet research timelines.
• Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
• Experience in knowledge dissemination
• Experience in working across sectors and in partnerships
