Special Training needed
• Knowledge in materials application, structural dynamics, material fatigue, heat treat, analysis, etc.
• Experience in design projects with multiple components & assemblies
• Armors Course

Purpose of Position
• 4 Years Engineering Degree. Relevant experience may be substituted for Degree
• Experience in 3-D CAD design, focusing on SolidWorks, and other engineering analysis software.
• Experience in the firearms industry strongly preferred in the design of commercial or military firearms. This should
include analyzing, interpreting, and applying professional engineering principles and practices.
• Common firearm & ballistics knowledge - Handling, troubleshooting & safety
• Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)

Description of Job Duties
• Develop and if needed execute test plans / procedures based on product requirements to ensure safety, performance,
durability & validate concepts. Test plans may include function, accuracy, endurance, environmental testing, etc.
• Operate, maintain & improve test equipment
• Develop custom test fixtures & procedures
• Responsible for recording, documenting, updating and presenting test data. Comprehension reports may be required for
presenting data
• Analyze data using software such as DAQ, Labview, High Speed Video, ProAnalyst, excel, etc.
• Ability to be organized and detailed oriented. Clear written & verbal communication needed
• Periodic updating of procedures, manuals, reference notebooks & documents
• Develop design concepts on 3-D CAD system (SolidWorks).
• Collaborate with R&D & assist in the development & refine of products. Participate in design reviews, assuring that products
meet the overall design objectives, have no safety flaws, and are saleable
• Exercise independent judgment, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks while under pressure
• Ability to update, research and retrieve information
• Will be expected to independently evaluate, select, and adapt situations, and modify techniques, procedures and criteria to
solve problems encountered.
