Full Job Description
The Role

We are looking for a Reporting Solutions Engineer to join our fast-growing Technology team here at Wpromote. You will design data engineering solutions for enterprise clients across a variety of MarTech and AdTech platforms. You'll plan how data needs to flow across each client's MarTech stack so the data can be used in Polaris, our proprietary tech platform. You'll build data models using BigQuery and dbt, designing them for use across reporting, apps, and media forecasting. You'll also help create, maintain, and improve client reporting, innovating on our reporting offerings by designing data visualizations to answer critical business questions, and you'll be embedded within the product development team, working with product managers to define requirements for our proprietary reporting platform. The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $105,000 - $128,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state's salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will Be

  • Gathering data source, data joining, data model, and data transformation requirements from stakeholders (clients and internal teams)
  • Gathering and evaluating data visualization requirements in order to develop unique reporting and insights solutions/tools for cross-channel media measurement
  • Managing and monitoring multiple data pipelines and ETL tasks related to multiple client data streams
  • Assisting in the creation of a reliable and scalable infrastructure for data model builds, data set QA, and data set outputs
  • Working with internal stakeholders to understand and then execute against data transformation, data model, and inbound/outbound data pipeline requirements
  • Assisting with the design of client data pipelines to flexibly and efficiently deploy data for new dashboards and apps within Polaris, our proprietary tech platform
  • Working with data engineers to validate data from multiple sources to provide an integrated, comprehensive overview of our digital marketing efforts
  • Creating reporting dashboards in Google Data Studio and Google Looker, using best practices for visualizations and user experience, to communicate a compelling business story
  • Gathering feedback on the dashboard to better understand its functionality and user experience, and documenting for product improvements
  • Assisting the engineering team in creating data requirements for future platform enhancements
  • Identifying areas for improvement and propose potential solutions, building process documentation to assist in the scaling of all reporting efforts


You Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience in reporting, BI, or analytics engineering
  • Experience with SQL, database design, and data manipulation methodologies
  • Experience gathering requirements and delivering data visualizations in Looker (preferred) or Data Studio within an Advertising Agency or similar client environment
  • Familiarity with Data Build Tools (dbt)
  • Strong Google/Excel Sheets skills, preferably with appscripts experience
  • Experience working with API calls for the purposes of gathering and storing large datasets (batch or streaming)
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, AppScript, JavaScript, etc.), preferably JavaScript or Python
  • Knowledge of database and data warehousing design and management
  • Understanding of ETL process and data modeling experience using SQL
  • Attention to detail with the ability to debug and troubleshoot code/queries
  • A collaborative mentality with the ability to work independently
  • General business and marketing data acumen including an understanding of common marketing goals, KPIs, and tactics
  • Experience integrating and automating pipelines from multiple data sources
  • Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail with the ability to handle the balancing of multiple tasks and projects
  • The desire to learn new tools, skills, and strategies and the initiative to take on new tasks
  • Both an analytical and design mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
