Full Job Description
Our Client is seeking a Lead Nurse Practitioner specializing in neurorehabilitation to join their team and spearhead clinical operations in the Kansas region. In this role, you will work with an interdisciplinary team and utilize telehealth technology to provide virtual consultations, assessments, and follow-ups for patients with chronic traumatic brain injuries and related neurological conditions. This position is based in Kansas and ideal for candidates residing in-state and holding an active Kansas APRN license. Your knowledge of local healthcare resources and the Kansas Medicaid system will be crucial to your role.
The ideal candidate is experienced in neurorehabilitation, adept at managing complex cases via telehealth, and ready to innovate new care models in a collaborative startup environment. You are passionate about your work and dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with life-altering injuries. You are a team player, comfortable in a leadership role, and eager to contribute to an organization that values compassion, learning, and excellence.
As the Lead Nurse Practitioner, you will act as the primary clinical provider and care coordinator for adults with chronic TBI and related neurological conditions enrolled in our program. You will develop personalized care plans for each patient, serve as the "clinical quarterback" for their healthcare needs, and supervise other clinicians in your team. You will also participate in program development and ensure quality standards are met.
The ideal candidate must have an active and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Kansas, with 3-5+ years of clinical NP experience in neurorehabilitation or closely related fields. Familiarity with Medicaid and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver programs, leadership abilities, and proficiency in telehealth technology is essential. In addition, you should possess excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, strong analytical and decision-making skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail in documentation, and ability to work independently in a remote care environment.
Our Client supports your professional growth and development by encouraging continuous learning and staying current on best practices in TBI rehabilitation and telehealth. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve workflows or develop patient programs. Additionally, you will be part of a compassionate and driven team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
